I am an Environmental Sustainability Professional with 25+ years experience of supporting businesses in achieving their sustainability aims.
My key areas of expertise are:
Business Sustainability Planning through identification of key Issues, Risks and Opportunities, mitigation and control measures and effective management processes.
Operational and Corporate Carbon Strategy, including route maps for reducing Scope 1, 2 & 3 carbon emissions and achieving net zero; and developing the related Science Based Targets.
Carbon Literacy, Stakeholder Engagement and Supply Chain management processes, in relation to Scope 3 targets.
Environmental and carbon data analysis, verification/validation and reporting, including for SECR, PPN 06/21 and the SBTi.
Environmental (14001), Quality (9001) & Safety (45001) System audits and certification support, including Compliance Obligation updates and performance review to identify opportunities for innovation and continual improvement.

Based in Cumbria, I have worked for UK and global clients in a wide variety of sectors including manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, construction and local/central government departments and agencies. I hold a BSc (Hons) degree in Industrial Chemistry and an MSc in Environmental Pollution Science, Legislation & Management. I am a Principal Environmental Auditor, Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) and Full Member of the Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (MIEMA); I have undertaken formal training in environmental and quality systems and legal compliance auditing. I have completed numerous courses via the Supply Chain Sustainability School, and most recently, Carbon Literacy training.
I am able to provide face-to-face or remote support, to meet client needs and timescales. My rates are flexible and ethical, based on business affordability & turnover.
